According to a study by HubSpot, email marketing is more effective than social media in driving traffic to a website. Ultimately, however, both are necessary and effective. According to the study, 91 percent of consumers check their email daily. According to the latest analysis, 72 percent of adults in the USA visit social networking sites. Internationally, 25% of people use social media and 4.3 billion people use email. Globally, time spent online is 35 billion hours per month. Roughly 41 percent of that time is devoted to email and social networking. Email is checked more than six times daily by 72 percent of consumers.
